Russ Stevens has degrees in accounting and business and a long stint working with Larry Burkett, Christian Financial Concepts, and Crown Financial Ministries. He teaches many of the principles being covered on this site in classes as a college professor. Russ also taught seminars, did speaking engagements, and led small groups that include these principles. Putting these principles into writing was a joy for him. He loves to see people’s lives changed, and these principles can do that.

He is in the process of working with an agent and a publisher to get his new book, “Say No! to College Debt” released. His other published work, “Biblical Perspective on Money: A Scholastic Study of God’s Principles,” is an academic text, while the new book is aimed at students and parents of students. It’s also applicable for those going back to or in school later in life (military, career change, advanced degrees, etc.).

Russ is a husband, a father, and a grandfather. He and his wife have four children and seven grandchildren. They live in the piedmont of North Carolina, where they attend a great church. Russ is also active in the praise team and missions’ committee at their church and has facilitated discussion in the small group which they attend.

Russ’s work history includes 10 years as a contemporary gospel musician, running a music and recording company, “real” jobs in industry, government, non-profit ministry, and as a support-raising staff member of Crown Financial Ministries. He now teaches for multiple schools, writes, and enjoys time with his children and grandchildren when he can get it.
